About Tammy Martin
I grew up in Bloomfield, Missouri. I am the oldest of four children. I've always been a singer. I started singing at five years old and had honestly never thought of writing a book until the last three years or so. I was going to write a book about my life because I had endured many things and I wanted to share how I had overcome those hardships in my life but this is the route I chose instead. I, one day may still write about my life but for now I will stick with children's books. I have been married to my husband, Daniel for almost 23 years. He has two daughters, I have two sons, and we adopted a baby girl in our 50's that is now six years old. We have fifteen grand children with number sixteen on the way.

Inspiration for Tam the Turtle
I have a little girl and she wanted me to tell her a bedtime story. I looked at her books and had read them all; so I made the story up. Then I wrote it down in case she wanted to hear it again.

This is a very sweet book and has an important lesson for everyone in it. The illustration is as beautiful as the story. I actually met the author of this book sitting in the ER with my son one day. Sweet lady and definitely talented! Can’t wait for her next book. My son loves Tam The turtle!
This is an awesome kids book. My Granddaughter had to have me read it twice because she liked it so much!!
